Only way it'll work is if Oculus actually makes it compatible with existing software next time.

And you're dreaming if you think all the VR games out today are going to get an update to work with the CV2 when it comes out. Blame Oculus, not the developers of a game that was made one and a half years before the CV1 even came out. Then the CV1 came out and wasn't compatible at all. This had Rift support, then the DK2 came out and that could be made to work with it.

Microsoft doesn't do it nearly as often, but Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 broke a bunch of games that were made before Vista existed.

It's like when a game has Mac support and then Apple releases their yearly update that breaks it.

It apparently had full support for the only model that was available at the time. Originally posted by robomagon:It did support the Rift.

PS: just read your last lines, you're comical and a quite delusional, CV2 will be compatible with CV1 games son, have no doubts about that. Steam does not list this as compatible with the oculus rift at all because it is not "was" is not good enough, it's inconclusive and unclear, so should not exist in listed minimum specs. If you release some software you have to make sure you are clear and concise about what it will actually function on with minimum specifications listed, they did actually do this but it was not factual and should have been updated, which is was not, I'm not the first and probably wasn't the last to buy this tripe for the reasons of playing it in VR but as i said i'm done with it now, it's a shame as i was looking forward to it.Įnd of story, thread can be closed, I think i've had my say and they've been ridiculed long enough as well as chaps like yourself who for some reason have this urge to protect the developers when it is categorically their fault. I should not be blaming oculus at all, compatibility is actually down to the developers of the software my friend, please dont' be under any illusions as to thinking otherwise. If i come here from another world and see this and want to buy it it should work as described, believe me i know how retail works and how advertising should I also know my rights but this would simply eat into my life and honestly my time is worth more than a measly £12 so i won't be wasting my time with this, i'll simply boycott this developer for life it's that simple, if anyone asks me about them i'll tell them the worst possible things i can in line with the truth.

How many times have you seen a hacker on Call of Duty? No one gets banned, it's a joke.

It's just a shame that this one is piss poor and steam simply don't have a clue anyway. VR for your information has come a long way and the support by majority is excellent as are the companies who back it. You live and you learn, this was a £12 game, I've learnt not to buy anything from these rats any longer and to triple check whether or not it does actually support VR. The developers actively advertised that their game fully supported the Oculus Rift (did not specify which) and yet they absolutely do not, this is false advertising and I believe it's my right to have a full refund, the support from them and steam has been nothing short of abysmal.
